New Ryan blog!

After a week with no updates, Ryan has just showed up to tell how was his last days enjoying the family He also talks about football and the tour with Blue October.

Don’t Mess With Texas...and go dawgs!

Hello out there. How's everyone? I spent the weekend with Mom, Dad, my sister, and some of my best friends in Phoenix. They flew in for the Georgia/Florida football game since I could not go home to Jacksonville to see it in person. For those of you that don't know, my Mom's side of the family which is rather large (two aunts, an uncle, both grandparents, and eight cousins) is from Atlanta, GA. I grew up in a Georgia Bulldogs family so Georgia/Florida weekend is always a big deal in my house. Until this year we had won the game only twice since I was 10 years old. That's two out of seventeen! Well this year we won the game and I spent the day with my family even though I was on tour in Arizona. It was perfect.

So now on to touring. We are starting the run with Blue October through Texas. These are the biggest shows of the tour since Blue October is from Texas so we are looking forward to them. We saw some of you on Warped this summer and hopefully youre coming back to see us.

Thats all for now. If youre bored call or email the radio and ask them to play Light Up the Sky. That sounds like such a good idea!

-Ryan

About Josh

Since Pete's message, it was said that a guy named Josh would fill in Pete's place.

Mendez left a message about Josh on Underdogs:

"josh used to play in near miss and we all knew him from that. he happened to be available right now to fill in. other than that theres not a whole lot to say, petes statement is pretty self explanatory. "

For the people who never heard anything about Josh, some things about him:

His name is Joshua Portman and he "originally" plays guitar.

As Mendez said, Josh played (guitar) on Near Miss and that band is on the list of artists of Takeover Records, that, is from Ben Harper. Besides, they have played already with Yellowcard, according to their biography.

Want to listen to Near Miss songs? Click here!

Before Near Miss, he played on Staring Back (guitar) and Mendez has already played on this band.

Which means, Josh was already connected with Yellwocard.

End of summer blog

A new blog has just been published by Ryan on Yellowcard Myspace:

No more summer?

Could it be true? The longest most scorching hot summer has finally ended! Well at least it seems like it might have ended. Don't get me wrong I love being outside on the beach in the sun as much as anyone but touring in 100 degree weather just gets to be a little much when its still that hot in October. We are in Milwaukee today and it is cloudy and cold and I love it. Is that weird? I guess I'm a winter person. Who else moves to New York City in December?

Shows are still going well. I have a pretty bad cold right now so if you're coming out to a show the next couple of days just bear with me. Ok Bye

The 60 best videos

Each week "The 60 best videos" has a different theme. This time, the VH1 show has the theme: the 60 best videos to look back on the childhood.

The video was on the 52nd position.

Ok, this is the children week, but actually we don't really understand why the band is on this theme. Anyway, it's a way to spread the word about them!

"The 60 best videos" broadcasts sunday to friday at 10pm, brazilian time.
Check it out!

New message from Ryan!

New message from Ryan!

Ryan has just written a message talking about the day off of the band, they spent it watching the new Ben Stiller movie¹, eating at Dave and Buster's² and watching the game Yankees x Indians. Read it:

Day off....boring...

You know we say all the time how much we would love to get a day off to just relax and get some rest. When we finally get one though, after we go to the local mall, maybe see a movie, I find myself bored out of my mind wishing we were playing a show. I am not complaining, I'm just have hotel room fever. We went to one of the strangest malls I've ever seen to see the new Ben Stiller movie today in St. Louis. It was ok. I would wait for dvd rental though. It wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be. Our hotel is right next door to a Dave and Buster's. We ate there 3 times yesterday! So I guess we are all heading over there in a bit to watch the Yankees/Indians game. Our tour manager is a huge Yankees fan and since my Braves are not in the playoffs it is fun to watch him watch the games.

I also wanted to mention that we are having such a great time on this tour. We will be visiting the merch booth after we play every night so if you are an all time fan or especially if youve never met us before, please come say hi. Tomorrow we get back to work so we will see everyone in St. Louis soon.

-Ryan"
